Uniko Sponsors CASology!

Hey!

Wow… I made it back, second evening in a row! Plus, as you can see by the title of the post I have some happy news to share, in that Uniko is super proud to be sponsoring the challenge over at CASology HERE this week.

Week 246 - Season

The theme for this weeks challenge is Season and there lots of different ways you can interpret this cue word.

This is how I was inspired…

Another of the recent restocks in the Uniko store is Decorative Doilies The Hands Of Time, an oldie set but definitely a goodie! So I decided to literally dust my set off and give it some fresh inky love.

UnikoSponsorsCASology1a

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I had Spring in mind for my chosen season and so I chose some soft pastel colours to stamp the four smallest doilies from the set. I used Altenew Buttercream, Mountain Mist and Rose Quartz along with Lawn Fawn Manatee. I added a couple of stamped doilies in VersaFine Onyx Black to balance the sentiment from Originally Organic. The stamped trio of dots is from Balloon Bash and I added a trio of Stampin’ Up! enamel dots to add a little subtle dimension and interest.

I hope I have inspired you to join in on the fun? If you need a little more incentive the CASology Design Team have a wonderful array of seasonal inspiration over HERE too. You will also find the link up and prize info over there too 😉

I hope to see you in the gallery!

Back In Action!

Hey!

Apologies for being absent for such a long time, my mojo seemed to have a min break and Oh my, what a busy couple of weeks! We are now settling back into our ‘normal’ routine after Easter Break. Thankfully today has worn the beans out and they were flat out in five minutes of going to bed – whooohooo!

That meant I had a little ‘extra’ time to sit, create and get my mojo back into action to create a card to share with you…

CTS#218

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

Uniko Style, which I’ve used on the card is finally back in stock – YAY! Background Blocks Halftone, Decorative Doilies The Hands of Time, Flower Power #3 AND Natures Treasures II are also back in stock – YAY! Plus I have more restocks arriving early next week too AND I’ve the May Release to play with this week too 😉 keep your eyes peeled for some sneaky sneak peeks!

CTS#218b

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

Anyway, back to my card. I’ve used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below as a jumping point and used my ‘go to’ Altenew ink colours as they are so good for layering and take away the hard thinking work!

CTS_218

The sentiment is from Simply Said and I added a few Stampin’ Up! enamel dots to embellish. The sentiment strip is raised on foam pads and these are Stix2 Anything and they come in a hand 1mm thickness which I have used as well as the standard 2mm thickness.

CTS#218a

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you all tonight, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, why not check out the Design Team Inspiration Rahmat is sharing over HERE, you’re sure to be inspired :)

Spring Rainbows!

Hey!

I jumped the gun a week early last week with my Uniko Challenge reminder post, so I am back again this week along with the Design Team and our Guest Designers to ‘officially’ remind you about our current challenge!

So this month we have the following challenge…

Spring is just around the corner for those in the Northern hemisphere and who doesn’t love pretty flowers and bunnies?!

Challenge Guidelines:

* You can use any products/stamps to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko products. Plus, there is an extra chance to win a prize if you do 😉
* Email entries welcome, just email a photo of your card to bev@uniko.co.uk and I will add it to the Uniko Flickr gallery and link up!
* Share the challenge graphic in your post and link back to the challenge if possible 😉
This month we have TWO awesome Guest Designers joining us, Marianne and Milka, both where lucky winners of Uniko Challenge #38.
They’ve created wonderful inspiration for you…

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

First is this stunning rainbow of butterflies by Marianne, who has used the Uniko English Country Garden Butterflies clear stamp set. Isn’t it beautiful and I know that Marianne has used the new Distress Oxide inks, so be sure to stop on by for all the details on Marianne’s card HERE and leave some love :)

Next, Milka has used the recent Uniko Digital Stamp Collection I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts to make another beautiful Spring card…

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I just LOVE the simplicity of Milka’s card and the fussy cutting and colouring is stunning. Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Milka’s card HERE and leave some love :)

If you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

This is what I came up with to ‘hopefully’ inspire you…

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I used a couple of challenges to kick start my creativity, I’ve been busy in the studio finalising some new stamps and dies coming soon and in the next couple of months. Hence the lack of posts and my mojo has taken a hit too 😉

Anyway, I decided to turn to one of my favourite sketch challenges Freshly Made Sketches seen HERE and below. I decided to switch up the circle to a square as it suited the size of the stamps I was using.

FMS Final 281-001

I chose a ‘rainbow’ colour scheme as Uniko is the proud sponsor of the current TIME OUT Challenges challenge this fortnight HERE. This fortnight it is a ‘Inspired by Words’ challenge…

‘When it rains look for rainbows, when its dark look for stars’

USC#40f

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

Hopefully you can tell that I focused on the rainbow part of the words! I used Originally Organic Additions for the flowers and the stem, the sentiment is from Some Bunny.

That’s all I had time to create last night, but the Uniko Design team also have some Spring inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

I was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below and thought it was perfect to dust of Beautiful Blooms II and give it some inky love. I was also inspired by the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below, plus they were perfect for my blooms!
FMS Final 280-001

As you can see I kept my card true to the sketch and minimal fuss. I stamped the Orange bloom on my mat layer and the yellow outline bloom on a separate piece of white card and fussy cut it out to adhere it with dimension.

The sentiment is from Originally Organic and I think it’s a wonderful Spring like sentiment where all the fresh new shoots and buds are starting to appear.

Block Party Birthday Fusion!

Hey & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday evening the beans went for their second sleepover at their Grandparents, so in true fashion I indulged in some much needed creative time in the studio! It feels like ages since I was able to just sit & play, choosing a challenge to join in on and selecting whatever stamps and supplies I fancied using.

I saw the new Fusion Card Challenge HERE and seen below and I was inspired to pull out the recently release Blocky Party Birthday clear stamp.

Fusion Paris

I’ve also recently had a Stampin’ Up! order delivered, which contained much needed card stock in Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Black all of which feature in the inspiration photo. So this is how I combined everything onto my card…

UnikoFusion1

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

It is a *really* simple card and didn’t take long at all to make. I started out by stamping the block party stamp in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto Smokey Slate CS using my MISTI tool, so I could repeat stamp to get a good image.

UnikoFusion1a

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

I then used 4 Prismacolour Pencils to selectively colour the image and I tried to replicate the watery ombre effect on the ‘birthday’ part of the stamp. I am pretty pleased how the card turned out and I think it represents both parts of the Fusion Card Challenge nicely.

That’s all from me today, but if you want some more creative inspiration , be sure to head on over HERE when Lindsey has some wonderful one layer CAS masculine inspiration to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Uniko Challenge #40 – Spring with an Optional Twist of Easter

Hey!

Welcome to the March/April 2017 Uniko challenge. We have another fun and easy challenge HERE this month to spark your creativity and I have changed the frequency and length of the challenges this year to hopefully give you a little more time to join in on the fun.

* Share the challenge graphic in your post and link back to the challenge if possible 😉

This month we have TWO awesome Guest Designers joining us, Marianne and Milka, both where lucky winners of Uniko Challenge #38.

They’ve created wonderful inspiration for you…

First is this beautiful Spring Wreath by Marianne, who has used the Uniko Digital Stamp Collection  I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts last Autumn. Isn’t beautifully coloured, soft and Springy?! If you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Marianne’s card HERE and leave some love :)

Next, Milka has used the recent Uniko Digital Stamp Collection I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts to make this beautiful Spring card…

Another beautifully coloured card and if you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Milka’s card HERE and leave some love :)

I’ve not been feeling so well over the past few days, so I opted for a fairly quick CAS card 😉 The Originally Organic Additions clear stamp set has been really popular this week on the website and I was also inspired by Keren’s use of the set HERE too. So I grabbed my set and made this fairly quick CAS card…

USC#40

I opted for some bright and fresh colours for my card also giving me chance to use my newly acquired Lawn Fawn inks which I have limited colours of 😉 The wreath was stamped in Jalapeño and the tiny fussy cut buds in Sunflower, Plastic Flamingo and Merman. The ‘Easter Blessings’ sentiment is from Some Bunny clear stamp set and stamped in Manatee ink.

USC#40a

The layout of my card is inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below, hence my offset stamping of the heart wreath.

CTS_213

That’s all from me, but the Uniko Design team also have some Spring inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

March 2017 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

It’s the 11th of the month, which means as it is not a release month (sorry, I promise it’ll be worth the wait till next month) the Design Team and I are here today with the usual Design Team Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!

This month we have decided to dust off and revisit the previously released Some Bunny clear stamp set…

Here is what I created using the set…

UnikoMarch17Revisit

{Click Photo for a closer look}

I needed some creative inspiration, as my lack of energy and mojo is a little lacking, so I turned to the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

FMS Final 278-001

I decided to dust off my Prismacolour Pencils to colour in the bunny, which I stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa, so the lines blended in with the colouring. I decided not to add a sentiment, so that I could use the card for a number of different occasions, such as Mother’s Day, Easter, A Just Because or New Baby card. As I have added pink accents, it does lend itself more to the feminine side.

UnikoMarch17Revisit1

That’s all from me, but how about some fresh new and AWESOME inspiration using this set from the Design Team?! Don’t forget to comment along the Design Team blogs to be in the chance of winning the Some Bunny clear stamp set and an £10 eGift Certificate.  Or a £15 Gift Certificate if you already own the clear stamps. You have until Midnight GMT Friday 25th March to get your comments in.

Happy 3rd Birthday TIME OUT Challenges!

Hey!

Today Uniko is joining in with TIME OUT Challenges to celebrate their 3rd Birthday and we are also  very proud to be one of the sponsors!

This fortnight the challenge HERE is a theme…

Love/Friendship with the Optional Twist of ‘Spotlight Stamping’

Spotlight Stamping is defined as adding colour to only one raised spot of your image. For all of the challenge details, information on the other sponsors and a wonderful array of inspiration CLICK HERE.

The Uniko Design Team and myself have joined in on the fun and created some cards to inspire you to join in and this is what I created…

UnikoTimeOut1

{Click Photo for a closer look}

I’m still in LOVE with the NEW Uniko Style clear stamp set released at the weekend, I don’t think the set has left my desk since I first inked it up! I’ve combined the blooms from Uniko Style with a sentiment from Originally Organic Additions (currently available on backorder and due in stock on the 10th March)

I’m loving this Spring fresh colour scheme too, I used it HERE on my CAS Colours & Sketches card too and couldn’t resit using it again. The layout of my card is from the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 277-001

I used my MISTI to stamp each of the blooms and all of the layers. It was quite time consuming as I’ve used a total of 9 colours, but totally worth it.  Because if I didn’t get a clean stamped image with the first stamp, I could ink up and stamp again, this is such a useful aspect of using the MISTI.

UnikoTimeOut1a

{Click Photo for a closer look}

The design is a little busier than my normal CAS style, but I wanted to show how pretty this bloom is stamped in a pattern. Ok, that’s all from me, but be sure to click on the links below to see what some of the Uniko DT have created to inspire you…

February 2017 & 5th Birthday Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Welcome to the Uniko February 2017 & 5th Birthday Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY!

Today I am here with the help of the awesome design team to introduce you to the FIVE clear stamp sets available to purchase HERE now!

Let’s have a look at them… First up we have one of the new style stamps and first in the series of Block Party. This one is appropriately named Block Party Birthday…

Block Party Birthday £9 / £9.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2017 www.uniko.co.uk

As you can see the stamp features some awesome birthday themed words in fabulous and trendy fonts, along with some current and retired Uniko birthday images. The stamp measures 9.5 x 13cm. If you missed seeing this set in action during the introductions, you can catch up HERE. However, I am sure you will see a few more ideas using this stamp along todays hop 😉

Next we have Originally Organic Additions…

Originally Organic Additions £9 / £9.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2017 www.uniko.co.uk

I couldn’t resist bringing you this additions clear stamp set to not only work on its own, but to work with the popular Originally Organics clear stamp set released towards the end of 2016. Many of you will recognise the heart wreath featured in the set, which was part of a digital collection of stamps I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts Magazine HERE.

Another new style clear stamp series called Background Blocks. They are what they say, simply a block of yummy pattern! The first in this series Background Blocks Halftone is due to my LOVE of Pop Art and Roy Litchenstien, plus the modern pop art trend is making a come back this year.

Background Blocks Halftone £4 / £4.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2017 www.uniko.co.uk

This stamp measures 7 x 9.5 cm, the perfect size for a focal pattern on your card / project and more. There are so many possibilities with this stamp and if you missed the inspiration during the introductions, you can catch up HERE. This clear stamp goes hand in hand with the next clear stamp set…

Explosion! Additions £9 / £9.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2017 www.uniko.co.uk

Explosion! Additions clear stamp set, again due to my LOVE of Pop Art and to breath fresh life into the previously released Explosions! clear stamp set. Oh the fun I have had with these stamps 😉 If you missed the introduction of this set you can catch up HERE.

Lastly and by no means least, I think I save my NEW favourite to last, I welcome Uniko Style to the Uniko clear stamp line up…

Background Blocks Halftone £4 / £4.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2017 www.uniko.co.uk

Uniko Style is a modern Scandinavian inspired floral building and layering stamp set. This set might not be much to look at from the product picture itself, but the samples in the introduction HERE show just how it looks stamped in colour.

Now I have done all the formal introductions, here are a few more cards I made using the new stamps…

ReleaseDay1

{CLICK Photo for a closer look}

For my first card I decided to use Explosion! Additions and Background Blocks Halftone to try out an idea I had to add a halftone effect to the Copic coloured WOW! and BAM!

I started by stamping the words in Memento Tuxedo black and then colouring them with Copic Markers. I then created a negative mask of each of the words and stamped the Background Blocks Halftone in black ink just on the lower half of each word. I then masked each word to over stamp the halftone explosion in Lawn Fawn Merman ink.

ReleaseDay1a

{CLICK Photo for a closer look}

The card took a couple of hours to make (I am slow a colouring), but I am really pleased with the result and it turned out how I had imagined it too :)

Next I decided to reach for my new FAVE, Uniko Style…

ReleaseDay2

{CLICK Photo for a closer look}

I decided to make a shaker card and added a little subtle Background Blocks Halftone behind the shaker window for added interest.

ReleaseDay2a

{CLICK Photo for a closer look}

The sentiment is from Originally Organic Additions, the sequin mix from Pretty Pink Posh and the enamel accents from Stampin’ Up!

That’s all I have to share with you today, but as usual the Design Team have an AMAZING blog hop for you to enjoy. Simply hop along the links below and be sure to leave a comment along the way for your chance to WIN the ENTIRE release, plus a couple of extras! A winner will be picked at random from all the comments left along the hop before Midnight Saturday 4th March GMT.

Uniko Sponsors “Less is More” and Birthday Celebrations!

Hey!

I’m super duper pleased you have popped by today as again we have LOTS more fun to share with you! Not only is it the Uniko February & 5th Birthday Release Day, but we are celebrating along with “Less is More” and their birthday celebrations!

This post is simply awesome! As myself and Uniko are proud to be sponsoring the challenge  over at “Less is More” this week. This week the challenge HERE is a sketch…

The Uniko Design Team and myself have joined in on the fun and created some cards using the sketch to inspire you to join in and this is what I created…

{CLICK Photo for a closer look}

As you can see I couldn’t resist using the NEW Explosion! Additions set, the sketch just lent itself to it perfectly. I used my MISTI tool to stamp both the halftone explosion in Lawn Fawn Sunflower and the explosion from the original Explosion! set in VersaFine Onyx Black onto white two card panels.

I then used my new Stampin’ Up! Stitched Framelits dies to die cut the circle and adhere it using foam adhesive. The WOW! is coloured with markers and fussy cut out and the small trio of horizontal lines are from the original Explosion! clear stamp set.

As it is Release Day here at Uniko, I decided to make one more card using the NEW Originally Organic Additions clear stamp set.

UnikoSponsorsLIM2

Again I have used my new stitched dies and I layered it with an old Papertrey Ink doily die. The flower is stamping in Memento and coloured with Copic Markers and I added some Bakers Twine to follow the sketch.

Ok, that’s all from me, but be sure to follow the links below to see what some of the Uniko Design Team created…

That’s all from the Uniko DT and myself for now, but be sure to head on over HERE to see what the “Less is More” Design Team have created to inspire you and to join in on the fun too. I hope to see you in the gallery!

I’ll be back AGAIN soon with the traditional February 2017 & 5th Birthday Release, Reveal, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!
